My ZESPARii Vehicle
Maintaining your ZESPARii vehicle well will optimise its usage:

  • Be sure to follow the maintenance schedule and adjustment requirements contained in this manual as your safety depends in part on the good mechanical condition of our ZESPARii vehicle.
  • Use only ZESPARii approved parts and ZESPARii vehicle accesories.

Cleaning | Components | Models

Cleaning your ZESPARii vehicle is as important as regular maintenance. In addition to preserving the appearance, a clean vehicle is easier to maintain as there will be opportunity to spot damage and/or leaks before they get serious.

A good rule of thumb is that if you ride more than twice or three times a week, clean your scooter weekly and more or less frequently if your usage is different. If tar, bugs, or other similar deposits have accumulated, clean them off as soon as possible.

  • Let your ZESPARii vehicle cool down before washing it as it may cause damage to certain parts and/or components otherwise.
  • Ensure that your ZESPARii vehicle is disconnected from the charger before cleaning.
  • Clean the ZESPARii vehicle with great care.
  • Gently wash your motorcycle with a sponge or a clean soft cloth, mild detergent, and plenty of water. Do not use any harsh chemicals and avoid using cloths or sponges which have been in contact with strong abrasive chemicals.
  • Use care when cleaning the plastic parts (dash, fenders, and side panels), which can scratch easier than the other parts of your motorcycle.
  • Don’t use strong water sprays or power jets when washing your ZESPARii vehicle and keep water off the battery/motor/ controller and other electrical components as much as you can as water ingression could cause premature failure of these compnnents.
  • Clean gently but thoroughly and make sure that all the outer casings of the electric parts are dry and clean.
  • While cleaning, it is a good opportunity to look closely for worn, loose, cracked, rusted or damaged parts.
  • Ensure that the charging port is covered during cleaning to reduce the risk of water damage.
  • After washing, rinse your motorcycle thoroughly with plenty of clean water to remove any detergent residue.
  • Dry your motorcycle with a chamois or a soft, dry towel.
  • After cleaning, inspect for damage, wear or leaks.
  • After washing the motorcycle, allow all of the electrical components to dry prior to operation.
  • If the motorcycle is ridden after being washed. apply both brakes several times in order to remove any moisture from the brake pads.
